Getting started

  1. Choose the language you want to read and download its language pack (once, Wi-Fi recommended).
  2. Tap Start Loupe. In the system panel, choose Loupe and tap Start Broadcast.
  3. Switch to any app. Drag the Picture in Picture window right below the text you want to read. The translation appears inside the window.
  4. To finish, return to Loupe and tap Stop Loupe, or close the window.

Frequently asked questions

The Picture in Picture window didn't appear

Switch to another app; the window usually opens then. If it still doesn't, return to Loupe, tap Stop Loupe, and start again.

The window shows no translation
  • Check that the language pack has finished downloading on the Languages card.
  • With the Near the window scope, place the window right below the text. Or try Whole screen.
  • Make sure the source language matches the text on screen.
Some apps look black or can't be read

Some apps protect their content from screen recording, such as certain streaming video. iOS hides that content from all screen broadcasts, so Loupe can't read it.

Which languages are supported?

The app is available in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Tiếng Việt, Español, Français and ไทย. You can translate from the languages supported by Apple's on-device translation, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Thai and Vietnamese.

How does the free plan work?

Every feature is free, including all three reading scopes. The free plan includes 5 minutes of live translation per day. Time only counts while Loupe is translating another app, and it resets at midnight local time. Loupe Pro removes the daily limit; nothing else changes.

How do I restore a purchase?

Open the Loupe Pro screen (or Settings in Loupe) and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy.

How do I cancel a subscription or request a refund?

Open the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions, choose Loupe and cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Is my screen uploaded?

No. Text recognition and translation happen entirely on your iPhone. Screen content is never uploaded or saved as screenshots or recordings. Loupe has no account, analytics or ads. See the Privacy Policy.

快速上手

  1. 选择想看懂的语言，下载语言包（只需一次，建议连接 Wi-Fi）。
  2. 点「开启透镜」，在系统面板中选「透镜翻译」，再点「开始直播」。
  3. 切到任意 App，把画中画窗口拖到想看的文字正下方，译文就会出现在窗口里。
  4. 结束时回到透镜翻译点「关闭透镜」，或直接关掉画中画。

常见问题

画中画窗口没有出现

先切到其他 App，窗口通常会自动打开。如果仍然没有，回到透镜翻译点「关闭透镜」后重新开启。

窗口里没有译文
  • 在「语言」卡片确认语言包已下载完成。
  • 使用「画中画附近」时，请把窗口放在文字正下方；也可以试试「整个屏幕」。
  • 确认原文语言与屏幕上的文字一致。
有些 App 画面是黑的或识别不了

部分 App 会禁止录屏（例如部分流媒体视频），iOS 会对所有屏幕共享隐藏这些内容，透镜翻译因此无法读取。

支持哪些语言？

界面支持简体中文、繁體中文、English、日本語、한국어、Tiếng Việt、Español、Français、ไทย。可翻译 Apple 端侧翻译支持的语言，包括日语、韩语、中文、英语、西班牙语、法语、德语、泰语、越南语等。

免费版怎么算？

全部功能免费可用，包括三种翻译范围。免费版每天可实时翻译 5 分钟，只在翻译其他 App 时计时，每天当地时间 0 点重置。Loupe Pro 只是取消每日时长限制，其他功能完全相同。

如何恢复购买？

用购买时的 Apple 账户登录，在 Loupe Pro 页面或透镜翻译的「设置」里点「恢复购买」。

如何取消订阅或申请退款？

打开「设置」App › 你的名字 › 订阅，选择透镜翻译，在续期前至少 24 小时取消。退款由 Apple 处理：reportaproblem.apple.com。

屏幕画面会上传吗？

不会。文字识别和翻译全部在 iPhone 本机完成，屏幕画面不会上传，也不会保存成截图或录像。无需账号，没有统计和广告。详见隐私政策。
