Privacy Policy
Loupe does not collect any personal data.
This policy explains how the Loupe: Screen Translator app for iPhone ("Loupe", "the app", "we") handles information. In short: everything happens on your iPhone, nothing is sent to us, and we have no servers that receive your data.
1. Screen content
- When you start Loupe, iOS asks you to confirm screen broadcasting. Only then does Loupe's broadcast extension receive images of your screen.
- These images are processed on your iPhone only, to find text and show its translation in the Picture in Picture window.
- Only while Loupe is translating, the broadcast extension passes images to the app through a fixed-size shared-memory buffer inside the app's private App Group container on your device. The buffer holds only the latest frame, and each new frame overwrites the previous one. When you stop Loupe, the buffer is cleared and deleted. Only Loupe can access it.
- Screen content is never saved as screenshots or recordings, never uploaded, never shared, and never used for any other purpose.
- You can stop at any time by tapping Stop Loupe, closing the Picture in Picture window, or stopping the broadcast from the status bar.
2. Text recognition and translation
Text recognition uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. Translation uses Apple's on-device Translation framework. Translation language packs are downloaded by iOS from Apple; that download is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. After a language pack is downloaded, translation works offline.
3. Information stored on your device
Loupe keeps a small amount of information on your iPhone so the app works. None of it is sent to us.
- App Group storage (shared only between the Loupe app and its broadcast extension): your settings (interface language, translation languages, reading scope), the current session state, your daily free usage counter, and a cached copy of your Loupe Pro status so the app opens quickly.
- Keychain: the date and the number of free seconds used that day, so the daily free limit is not reset by reinstalling. iOS may keep this Keychain item after the app is deleted; it contains no personal information.
4. Purchases
Loupe Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple Account, or payment details. The app uses Apple's StoreKit on your device to check whether you have Loupe Pro.
5. No tracking, analytics, or advertising
- No account or sign-in.
- No third-party SDKs, analytics, crash-reporting services, or advertising.
- No tracking across apps or websites, and no data sold or shared.
- The app does not send data to servers operated by us.
6. Children
Loupe is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
7. Your choices
You can delete all app data by deleting Loupe from your iPhone. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled in your Apple Account settings.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.

透镜翻译不收集任何个人数据。
本政策说明 iPhone 应用「透镜翻译」（英文名 Loupe: Screen Translator，下称「透镜翻译」「本应用」「我们」）如何处理信息。简单来说：所有处理都在你的 iPhone 上完成，不会发送给我们，我们也没有接收你数据的服务器。
1. 屏幕画面
- 开启透镜时，iOS 会请你确认屏幕共享（直播）。只有确认之后，透镜翻译的屏幕共享扩展才会收到屏幕画面。
- 画面只在你的 iPhone 上处理，用来识别文字并在画中画窗口中显示译文。
- 只在翻译进行时，屏幕共享扩展通过本机 App 专属共享容器（App Group）里一块固定大小的共享内存缓冲区把画面传给 App。缓冲区只保留最新的一帧，新画面会不断覆盖旧画面；关闭透镜时即清空并删除。只有透镜翻译可以访问它。
- 屏幕画面不会保存成截图或录像，不会上传，不会分享，也不会用于任何其他用途。
- 你可以随时点「关闭透镜」、关掉画中画窗口，或在状态栏停止屏幕共享来结束。
2. 文字识别与翻译
文字识别使用 Apple 端侧 Vision 框架，翻译使用 Apple 端侧 Translation 框架。翻译语言包由 iOS 从 Apple 下载，这一过程由 Apple 按照 Apple 隐私政策 处理。语言包下载完成后，离线也能翻译。
3. 保存在你设备上的信息
为了让 App 正常工作，透镜翻译会在你的 iPhone 上保存少量信息，这些信息都不会发送给我们。
- App Group 存储（仅透镜翻译 App 与其屏幕共享扩展之间共用）：你的设置（界面语言、翻译语言、翻译范围）、当前会话状态、每日免费用量计数，以及 Loupe Pro 状态的缓存（让 App 打开时立即显示）。
- 钥匙串：当天日期和已用的免费秒数，避免重装 App 重置每日免费额度。删除 App 后 iOS 可能保留这一钥匙串项目，其中不含任何个人信息。
4. 购买
Loupe Pro 订阅与买断由 Apple 通过 App Store 处理。我们不会获得你的姓名、Apple 账户或支付信息。本应用在设备上使用 Apple StoreKit 确认你是否拥有 Loupe Pro。
5. 无追踪、无统计、无广告
- 无需注册或登录账号。
- 不含任何第三方 SDK、统计分析、崩溃上报服务或广告。
- 不跨 App 或网站追踪你，不出售或分享任何数据。
- 本应用不会向我们运营的服务器发送数据。
6. 儿童
透镜翻译适合所有年龄段，不会有意收集任何人（包括儿童）的信息。
7. 你的选择
从 iPhone 删除透镜翻译即可删除全部 App 数据。订阅可在 Apple 账户设置中管理或取消。
8. 政策更新
本政策如有变更，我们会更新本页面及上方的生效日期。
