• Turn on Windowed Apps or Stage Manager (Settings › Multitasking & Gestures).
• Tap Start Loupe and confirm screen sharing, then put the Loupe window beside the app you want to read, for example by dragging a window to the edge of the screen to tile them. The Loupe window shows that app translated, in its original layout.
• When the other app goes full screen, Loupe keeps going as a Picture in Picture window.
• All four reading scopes work on iPad.

Language packs come from Apple and are shared with the system's translation features. Each language is about 140–440 MB (Japanese to English, for example, is about 200 MB), and parts you already have aren't downloaded again. Loupe never starts a download on its own: when you tap Download language pack on the home screen, or Download in Languages, Loupe first shows the languages and the approximate size and asks you to confirm; then the system asks once more. Choose Not Now and nothing is downloaded. Wi-Fi is recommended. Once downloaded, translation works offline.

Switch to another app; the window usually opens then. If it still doesn't, return to Loupe, tap Stop Loupe, and start again. On iPad, while the Loupe window is visible beside another app, the translation shows in the Loupe window itself, and Picture in Picture opens only when Loupe goes to the background.

• On the Languages card, check that the language pack for the text on screen has finished downloading. If Loupe finds a language without a pack, the top of the window tells you which one to download.
• With the Near the window scope, place the window right below the text. Or try Whole screen.
• Loupe detects the source language automatically. If it picks the wrong one, for example Japanese written only in kanji, open Languages › Source language and choose the language yourself.

Some apps protect their content from screen recording, such as certain streaming video. iOS hides that content from all screen sharing, so Loupe can't read it.

Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Public and hotel Wi-Fi often isolates devices from each other, and some routers block it too — in that case turn on Personal Hotspot on the iPhone or iPad running Loupe (iPad needs a cellular model) and join it from the other device, then open the link again. Type the address exactly as shown, including the port and the code after it. The link is new every session, so a link from an earlier session stops working; open the current one from the Loupe home screen. Stopping Loupe ends the stream.

The app is available in English, 简体中文, 繁體中文, 日本語, 한국어, Tiếng Việt, Español, Français, ไทย, Deutsch, Português (Brasil), Türkçe, Bahasa Indonesia and العربية. You can translate from the languages supported by Apple's on-device translation, including Japanese, Korean, Chinese, English, Spanish, French, German, Thai and Vietnamese.

Every feature is free, including all four reading scopes. The free plan includes 5 minutes of live translation per day. Time only counts while Loupe is translating another app, and it resets at midnight local time. Loupe Pro removes the daily limit; nothing else changes.

Open the Loupe Pro screen (or Settings in Loupe) and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy.

Open the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions, choose Loupe and cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

No. Text recognition and translation happen entirely on your device. Screen content is never sent to us or saved as screenshots or recordings. The only exception is LAN Live, when you choose it: the translated screen goes straight to the devices on your local network that open your link, not through any server of ours. Loupe has no account, analytics or ads. See the Privacy Policy.

先切到其他 App，窗口通常会自动打开。如果仍然没有，回到透镜翻译点「关闭透镜」后重新开启。在 iPad 上，透镜翻译的窗口和别的 App 并排显示时，译文直接显示在透镜翻译的窗口里，只有透镜翻译退到后台时才会打开画中画。

• 在「语言」卡片确认屏幕文字对应的语言包已下载完成。识别到没有语言包的语言时，窗口顶部会提示下载哪一种。
• 使用「画中画附近」时，请把窗口放在文字正下方；也可以试试「整个屏幕」。
• 原文语言会自动识别。如果认错（例如纯汉字的日文），在「语言」›「原文语言」里手动指定。

部分 App 会禁止录屏（例如部分流媒体视频），iOS 会对所有屏幕共享隐藏这些内容，透镜翻译因此无法读取。

两台设备要连同一个 Wi-Fi。公共 Wi-Fi、酒店 Wi-Fi 常常隔离设备，部分路由器也会拦截，这时可以打开运行透镜翻译的 iPhone 或 iPad（需蜂窝网络机型）的个人热点、让另一台设备连上来，再重新打开链接。网址要按页面上显示的原样输入，包括端口和后面那段口令。链接每次开启都会变，上一次的链接会失效，请在透镜翻译首页重新查看当前链接。关闭透镜即结束同传。

界面支持简体中文、繁體中文、English、日本語、한국어、Tiếng Việt、Español、Français、ไทย、Deutsch、Português (Brasil)、Türkçe、Bahasa Indonesia、العربية。可翻译 Apple 端侧翻译支持的语言，包括日语、韩语、中文、英语、西班牙语、法语、德语、泰语、越南语等。

全部功能免费可用，包括四种翻译范围。免费版每天可实时翻译 5 分钟，只在翻译其他 App 时计时，每天当地时间 0 点重置。Loupe Pro 只是取消每日时长限制，其他功能完全相同。

用购买时的 Apple 账户登录，在 Loupe Pro 页面或透镜翻译的「设置」里点「恢复购买」。

打开「设置」App › 你的名字 › 订阅，选择透镜翻译，在续期前至少 24 小时取消。退款由 Apple 处理：reportaproblem.apple.com。

不会。文字识别和翻译全部在本机完成，屏幕画面不会发给我们，也不会保存成截图或录像。唯一的例外是你主动选择的局域网同传：译文画面直接发到你局域网里打开链接的设备，不经过我们的任何服务器。无需账号，没有统计和广告。详见隐私政策。
